Arriving at results - developing solutions

As workshops and process support, we offer small and large group facilitations. At the centre of the small-group workshops is the efficient development of individual solutions. The design of the workshop formats is correspondingly individualised.

The focus of the large-group workshops is to inspire as many employees as possible for a “common cause”. In the large group, we primarily work with special workshop formats.

Our workshops

Good ideas are not inspiration, but the result of a controllable process. The focus of the workshop is therefore a systematically facilitated search for ideas on a previously defined topic.

The knowledge, skills and potential of the participants are used in a targeted manner. Effective methods and attitudes lead them to abandon familiar patterns of thinking and to develop new areas of thought. Through joint work on the topic, dynamics and associations emerge – new ideas and concrete proposals for implementation.

The idea of the World Café is to promote the collective knowledge of a group of people in the relaxed atmosphere of a street cafe.

At small tables, four to six people meet and start to converse. The focus is on informal discussion through a “host”. After a while the “guests” change, distribute themselves among the other tables and discuss the topics started there. The tablecloths – sometimes also a digital mind map – serve as “documentation” for the collected ideas and results.

The World Café is ideally suited as collective brainstorming.

Open space is a facilitation method for large groups of 25 to several hundred people. Over a period of one to three days, a large themed marketplace is created on an overarching framework topic. Various work groups formulate and work on their concerns or their solution in a self-organised and self-responsible manner.

Open space workshops offer an ideal space for creative processes. Participants are intensively involved by actively contributing their knowledge and skills. Completely open documentation and evaluation of the results is essential for successful open-space scenarios.

The basic idea is to bring together representatives from all functional and hierarchical levels in order to jointly develop a vision and action plans for implementation. The focus is on the desired future rather than on dealing with current problems. Rather than differences, the commonalities of the various interest groups are worked out.

The goal is to achieve consensus – but above all a sense of belonging and co-responsibility for shared visions, values and strategies.

The principle of the storytelling workshop is: Think positive and act accordingly!

Participants are asked to formulate only their positive corporate impressions in freely narrated stories. The key questions are: What is going well? Why? And how can we further develop the positive aspects and transfer them to other areas?

The storytelling method is particularly useful in difficult situations, in order to show each other what is good and what works. The aim is self-motivation through experiential reports and to use the example to make a “mental leap” in everyday work.

By developing a vision with its own company-specific values, a company obtains a defining identity. Values are defined on the basis of a guiding principle and are regarded as guidelines or action standards for implementation. The value-based identity promotes business success by strengthening the ability of a company to act: management and employees can be measured in terms of values, resulting in transparency, credibility and expectation certainty, both internally and externally.

The development of a value-oriented vision is based on the principle of self-commitment and self-management. The aim is the sustainable safeguarding of the company in economic, cultural and legal terms.

Story management is a way to reveal and understand relationships within the company. Collecting and evaluating stories shows how a company looks in the minds of its employees. Only when this “unofficial” company is discovered in its lived culture will changes become possible. For then it has become clear where the causes of demotivation and communication problems lie. Potentials can be activated and team spirit can be fostered.

The story management concept “Management and Fairy Tales” was awarded the Meeting Business Award (MBA®) in the category of employee events in November 2000. The MBA® awards outstanding conference designs and meeting impulses every year.

Innovative workshops aim at the collaborative elaboration of frameworks for thinking outside the box. What conditions in our corporate environment limit our range of vision and how can these be positively changed? Where does a targeted change of perspective help to open up the viewpoint and to discover possibilities within impossibilities? What perceptual patterns and sensory experiences prepare the ground for “new” thinking? What can we do “differently”? Where is it useful to break with habits to create new lines of thought? These and other questions are answered by the participants in the workshop and are moderated towards company-specific solutions.

Innovation workshops

  • preparing a company-specific topic,
  • pursuing the goal of finding, evaluating or implementing ideas, solutions and innovative approaches
  • these are facilitated with the help of creativity techniques and are custom-designed

Our team exercises

Reaching the goal in up to four hours – team exercises

The special feature of our incentives is the targeted linking of subject-specific topics on knowledge transfer with motivation, incentive and recognition. Seminar components, but also other topics relevant to the company, alternate physical and intellectual creative activity. With tailor-made, out-of-the-ordinary programmes we strengthen team spirit and inspire.

We develop our incentives around a client-relevant topic – and give the topic a motto. The motto runs through the event from start to finish. All the details are designed to deliver a clear message to the mind and heart of the visitors. During the event – and for a long time afterwards.

We prefer to implement our incentive programmes in the region around Lake Constance. From lake to mountain, from rustic to luxurious, from sporting to cultural, from summer to winter – we plan, organise and provide proper support for your desired incentive.

Team practice offers the opportunity to challenge teams and groups through playful activities over two to four hours, to develop unimagined solutions. After each exercise a reflection and feedback phase takes place, in order to transfer concrete learning into the workplace.

Depending on the requirements and framework conditions (team size, time, location, budget), we advise our clients on the selection or compilation of the appropriate exercises.
